Worm bins have found their way into homes, classrooms and offices as a method of reducing the amount of food waste thrown out with the garbage. This fun, educational method of composting with worms, called vermicomposting, also produces a rich source of plant nutrients coveted by gardeners. During this hands-on workshop, participants put together a worm bin while learning how to successfully maintain it. The instructor is an environmental educator and worm enthusiast.
